The Management Team
A group of community volunteers form the Management Team. Each individual has a particular skillset they can contribute to the process of managing the Society & Pub. We are constantly looking for locals who may be interested in joining the team. If you have skils that you think may be useful please contact us on info@drewearms.org

Toby Rubbra
Toby moved to Drewsteignton 30 years ago drawn by the pub, and the amazing community. He is passionate about getting the Drewe open again and brings to the project 30 years of business consultancy experience. He has also served on the Parish Council.

Ian Pickford
Since retiring from a career in logistics Ian has turned his hand to troubleshooting struggling businesses. He worked as a turnaround chief executive for a National College for the Blind, then a hospice and finally restructuring aspects of the YMCA.

Jane Martin
Jane recently retired from her role as English teacher at Exeter College where she worked for over 20 years. Alongside this she has had various other senior roles in education. Jane’s playing a huge role on the project writing and submitting lengthy applications for grants and funding.

Liz Wiseman
Liz has spent most of her career in the world of education, latterly as the Headteacher of the local primary school in Chagford for seven years. Liz is focussing on the wide role the pub can play as a central hub for a range of activities within the community.

Glyn Martin
Glyn moved to the area in 1977 to set up an organic farm. The farm’s still fully operational, and he can add to his achievements an online art business and self-built an award-winning house which he now runs as a holiday business.

Gary Read
Gary has lived in the area for 37 years. Having had a long and very successful career in education – including head teacher roles in two different primaries – he has now set himself up as chimney sweep. Look no further if you want to spruce up your flue.

Peter Clements
Peter runs an Exeter based communications agency, specialising in graphic design and films. Much of his work is in the not-for-profit sector and includes the BBC, National Trust and NHS

Tim Stone
Shortly after moving to the village in 2021 Tim witnessed the closing of both the post office and the pub. He shares the same drive to get the pub open again, and brings to the project some exceptional operational and logistics experience.
