“I know the Drewe Arms well, having supped and snacked there many a time with friends who live near Drewsteignton. It rates as one of my favourite pubs in the whole of Devon – a place so steeped in character you can almost hear the raucous chatter and clink of pewter of generations gone by.

This pub has been so much part of its community for centuries, it’s no surprise to me the village are looking to save it and have it back as just that, their community pub.

I’ll absolutely toast to that and look forward to my next pint there, served through the famous Drewe Arms hatch from its equally famous taproom. GOOD LUCK!”
