Management Team member Tim Stone to row across the Atlantic!

“Four Rowers from Three Generations Set to Row 3,000 Miles Across the Atlantic Ocean

for Charity”

Tim Stone, one of our Management Team committee, is one of four rowers from three generations taking on the challenge of a lifetime this December — Rowing across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the World’s Toughest Row Race.

Setting off from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands and rowing 3,000 miles to Antigua in the Caribbean. They will row in pairs, two hours on, two hours off for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, facing 40-foot waves, heat, exhaustion, salt sores, isolation etc!

They are hoping to take approximately 40 days to complete the row.

Spanning three generations, the team brings together a unique mix of backgrounds — from

engineering and business to service in the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines.

The team are rowing to raise funds and awareness for four charities:

    ● The Grand Appeal – supporting Bristol Children’s Hospital

    ● Andys Man Club – promoting men’s mental health and wellbeing 

    ● The Marine Conservation Society – protecting and restoring the health of our oceans

    ● Exeter Chiefs Foundation – supporting local charities and community groups across

Devon and the South West
