Hiring: Landlord/lady or Duo

Fancy running the award-winning Drewe Arms?

We are two years into the re-opening of the iconic Drewe Arms as a community owned pub and are now looking for a new landlord, landlady or couple. Whether your expertise is in food or drink, we are looking for someone or a couple who can build and lead a team of key staff and volunteers to move us forward on our journey.

Whilst initially you would be employed directly by the Community Society and report to the steering group, there is the possibility of moving to an operator agreement or even a tenancy agreement if it suits both parties in the future. Whilst we are keen that you will be a great fit with our purpose and principles and motivated by our measures of success, we really want you to let your own experiences, creativity and innovation flourish in building the business. We want you to benefit from the hard work you put in and will be there to support you every step of the way.

 

The role - a very brief summary

• Building on our amazing welcoming and vibrant atmosphere through a great food and drink offer and realising the potential of our longroom and outside space for events: music, film, food, feasts, celebrations, weddings - and cottage and bunk houses for accommodation.

• Increasing customer numbers, repeat customers, analysing feedback to increase sales/profit

• Engaging and involving our community

• Building profitability

• Reporting to the steering group
